Rough Timeline
Sep. 20th, 2005 | 04:49 pm
March 1st, 1948: Born to a loving family, which was down on their luck. Recorded time of delivery: 12:01 AM
1949: His parents realize that they can not support him, and leave him on the doorstep of a well off couple. That couple take him as their own, renaming him Elijah, and they give him their surname of Woods.
1956: By now, he is fully integrated into his lifestyle, no idea that he was abandoned on the doorstep of another family. He lives a happy life.
1969: Finally finds out about his past, and as a cleansing, legally changes his name to Elijah Karma. This is right before he recieved his bachelor's degree in Western Civilization and a minor in Greek Mythology. From this point onward, all commendations are under this new name.
1975: Recieves his Doctorate, and soon after takes a job at Southern Connecticut State University as a professor.
January 13th, 1978: Awakening while on a LSD Trip
February 29th, 1980: Falls deeper into drug addiction, spends only enough time teaching, and falls into a destructive lifestyle.
1990: Falls completely off the face of the earth. SCSU agrees to give him an extended sabbatical, and slowly he disappears from the world. (Occulation) Records seem to get lost of him at the school, his apartment is paid for but forgotten, and he is never seen.
March 1st, 1993: Wakes up in his apartment, with a party hat and a splitting headache. Does not remember a single thing from his 1980 birthday until this point. This is the point he decides to get over all his drug addictions.
1995 - Present: Random adventures in trying to find himself and not looking back. Travels a lot overall to New York, Boston, New Hampshire and other parts of the North East. Interacts with many people... lots of tie ins here.
General Feel:
Elijah is an independant, for reasons unknown. He is a mediocre professor, earning just enough to get by and support his now minor drug habit. As a Prophet and a Road Scholar he does his best work. While many mages run around taking care of problems, Elijah will most likely be found reading a book, taking his time. Time is something that he does have. Yet when urgency arrises, he is the first off the line, ready to make haste. Never the main character, rarely a side kick, he is that mysterious man on the road of life that sometimes points you in the right direction. He doesn't ask for anything in return, unless it's that important, and is a firm believer in the Flow of Time.
